Southern comfort

Produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens North Canterbury
Designed by: Kristen Reid

This kitchen blends minimalist style with easy care.

Inspired by design styles from North America, the designer embraced large open areas and brought the breakfast bar seating into the kitchen space to take advantage of the breathtaking rural views opposite the kitchen.

The choice of rich Walnut veneer with luxurious Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo composite stone-tops blends effortlessly with the contemporary furniture in the open plan rooms beyond.

This kitchen has all of the practical elements you would expect to need for a busy, hard-working family.

Skullery

This scullery is essentially a small second kitchen. It includes an underbench oven, a sink, and dishwasher for easy clean up. As this family entertains regularly with the help of caterers, large uninterrupted work tops are vital.

The hard wearing stainless steel top matches the main kitchen back wall and features the same mosaic tile splash back. This gives continuity throughout the entire kitchen.

Simply stunning

Produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens Gisborne
Designed by: Dale Summerfield

This striking kitchen is proudly positioned at the heart of this home. The strong black and white colour scheme runs throughout the home and is accentuated beautifully in the kitchen with the dramatic 30mm granite benchtops. The scullery benchtop is Formica Pure Marble Gloss.

Situated on a riverside, this kitchen has cleverly captured both minimalist and country styles. Its high pitched white panelled ceiling is complemented by a combination of two styles of Arboform doors - Russell and Ohope, and are finished with stylish Burlington handles from Heritage Hardware.

Black and white spaces

Designed & produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens North Canterbury

Imagine sitting down at this bay window to enjoy a morning coffee after seeing the kids off to school.

This superb kitchen caters for a big family but cleverly spreads the space around.

A scullery is hidden away behind the main kitchen wall unit. The large cupboard doors give the kitchen a spacious, open feel.

Strong, black, vertical lines from the wall unit and lighting accentuate the ceiling height. The main island bench also reflects this design approach with waterfall ends in black.

Store away

Efficient, clever storage doesn’t just happen. It has to be designed and planned into existence.

In this kitchen, the home-owner wanted plenty of cupboard space, generous bench tops and a set of shelves so their beloved cook books can be within easy reach, yet are tucked away.

Each Mastercraft Kitchen is uniquely designed and manufactured. This means your kitchen will maximise your space, loading every last nook with useable space, storage and style. During the design process we also consider your lifestyle, cooking and entertaining preferences.

New York, New York

Designed & produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens Christchurch

The brick walls and solid wood floor boards in this funky kitchen create a New York loft canvas upon which a balance of engineered stone, stainless steel, and acrylic cabinets has been added.

The downlights, although extremely practical, also add warmth and intimacy even though the ceilings are high. The stainless steel theme is continued through the framework of the central island and the hob ducting tunnel.

Approach the bench

There are many benchtop options, from engineered stone, to granite, to stainless steel, to acrylic and timber.

Benchtops, like all materials, have pros and cons. Your Mastercraft Kitchen designer can advise you on what would work best for your needs. A benchtop can represent a significant portion of your kitchen budget so getting the right solution is a must.

This bench also features a double under-mount sink. An under-mount sink system has no lip, which makes clean up much easier as crumbs and food scraps can be wiped straight into the sink.

Entertainer's delight

Produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens Pukekohe
Designed by: Kim Primrose

This kitchen is at one with the house. Even wallpaper from an adjoining room was photographed and digitally printed onto the glass splash-back providing continuity between rooms.

The oversize central island provides a centrepiece for entertaining as well allowing extra space for cupboards on the seating side for low-use items and even a discrete wine fridge. Both the island and the hob are 20mm Smartstone Statuario.

LED strips under the range hood provide excellent task lighting.

Open and shut

The long cabinets above the cooking area are designed to showcase their clean lines with support from Blum high-lift hinges.

All drawers feature Blum Legrabox soft-close mechanisms and are kitted with Orgaline inserts.

Cape Cod Class

Produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens Tauranga
Designed by: Sheryl Stuart

This magnificent kitchen makes maximum use of space in this gorgeous home. The open scullery (at the far end of the kitchen) ensures a spacious feel and yet cleverly manages clutter. White surfaces throughout the kitchen and excellent task and mood lighting open up the space too.

The soft-close doors and drawers are superbly engineered to match this quality home that boasts views overlooking green fairways across to the Hauraki Gulf in Whangaparaoa.

Mastercraft Kitchens also produced cabinetry for the various bathrooms and ensuites, as well as the laundry.

Contemporary edge

Designed & produced by: Mastercraft Kitchens Tauranga

Set in the open-plan living space of a modern, newly completed home, the simple yet structured layout of this large family kitchen makes it a joy to work in, whether cooking breakfast for two, or hosting large groups of family or friends.

The homeowners are big entertainers and enjoy cooking gourmet food. Their brief was to deliver a spacious, functional kitchen that had a sleek modern design, to match their new home. They also wanted it to feel light and bright.

The U-shaped stainless steel benchtops, with built-in sinks, are extremely practical and durable, and also provide the contemporary edge. Above the ‘peninsula’, three large, industrial-style, steel pendant lights complement the bench tops below perfectly.

Beautifully integrated appliances

To satisfy the owners’ passion for cooking, this kitchen is packed with great appliances – two, side-by-side, underbench Bosch ovens, a large Samsung Frenchdoor fridge-freezer, and a six-burner gas hob by Bosch.

The extractor above is by Schwegin and features a high-performance external motor for maximum efficiency and minimal noise disruption.

Function and style

Storage solutions are a key design component of good design throughout a home - not just in the kitchen…

Many customers take the opportunity to get their Mastercraft joiner to design, produce and install other cabinet requirements throughout the home. Dealing with one company allows for greater consistency throughout the home, continuity of materials, less disruption during the build, one point-of-contact, and one bill.

Our Mastercraft Kitchens locations specialise in various non-kitchen fields so please check with your local outlet to see what other services they offer.
